Why I Designed Our New Ibiza 8’ X 10’ Patio Umbrella

I have been designing umbrellas for many years. I have designed umbrellas in all price categories from basic to top of the line. At Freetime Fun, we strive to design unique, premium products that exceed our customer’s expectations. I decided the Ibiza umbrella would be a “best in class” umbrella and incorporate the finest features available. I researched the market and reviewed a ton of customer feedback and came to the following conclusions. For a premium umbrella, customers wanted great looks, rugged durability, and ease of operation. I read a lot of complaints about torn and faded canopies, bent poles, and jammed-up cranks.

This inspired me to design the Ibiza with sharp designer looks, premium fade-free fabric, a strong, durable structure with superior workmanship. The heart of any umbrella is the canopy. I only use top-of-the-line FADEMASTER® acrylic fabric that carries a 5-year fade-free warranty. The structure of our umbrellas, the pole, and ribs, are made from commercial grade aluminum that is up to 50% thicker than standard poles. It will not bend, break, or rust and it will withstand many years of windy weather and heavy use. Expert workmanship includes an oversized wind vent, double-stitched rib pockets, and a durable crank system to raise and lower the umbrella. To make summer evenings even more enchanting, I added solar LED lights for up to 5 hours of evening illumination.
